United Way Capacity Building in Response to the Economic Downturn
Local agencies have between now and September 1 to declare their intent to apply for funding from United Way of the Quad Cities Area’s Capacity Building in Response to the Economic Downturn fund. The fund, will grant money to existing social service agencies in Scott or Rock Island counties with a purpose of allocating funds that provide the programs and services to individuals that are being impacted negatively by the economic down turn. The funds will be utilized to meet the increasing demands placed on human services agencies for their programs and services. These dollars are not intended to replace government funds that have been cut.
